John Romano of the Tampa Bay Times speculates that the Buccaneers could look into bringing back quarterback Jameis Winston this offseason.
Fantasy Impact: Tom Brady’s retirement has triggered a plethora of quarterback questions for the Bucs. Romano notes that while the team did draft Kyle Trask last year, head coach Bruce Arians has a history of bringing in experienced players. While Aaron Rodgers, Deshaun Watson, or Russell Wilson could help pick up where Brady left off, any potential trade would be quite expensive. Instead, someone like Winston, who is familiar with the system and much cheaper to pursue, might make more sense for the Bucs, at least in the short-term. For fantasy purposes, putting Winston in an offense with Mike Evans and a strong offensive line could vault him into QB2 territory.
