Day 1 of the Titans’ OTAs wasn’t open to the media, but the team released a video of WR Robert Woods participating in the session and he didn’t appear to be limited in any way while wearing a knee brace. Titans HC Mike Vrabel stated Tuesday that Woods is gaining confidence on the field while rehabbing from a torn ACL.
Fantasy Impact: Woods, who suffered a torn ACL in November while playing for the Los Angeles Rams, appears to be on track to be available for the team once the season begins. Although Woods got off to a slow career start with the Bills, he has been one of the most steady and consistent WRs in fantasy football since the 2018 season when he joined the Rams. Woods will have a change in scenery for the first time in four seasons, as he joins a Titans team that has been a contender in the AFC the last few seasons. The Titans WR room will look very different in 2022 after trading star WR A.J. Brown, drafting former Arkansas WR Treylon Burks, and signing Woods. Woods should rank high in the team’s pecking order in terms of targets, but the Titans have been a run-heavy team with a low passing volume in recent seasons. Assuming Woods is healthy, he will likely function as a WR3 in PPR formats with WR2 upside in his new offense.
