New York Giants tight end Daniel Bellinger has taken first-team reps and “caught the ball well” during minicamp, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN. The rookie has “made a strong first impression” and is in the running to win the starting tight end job in 2022.
Fantasy Impact: The Giants drafted Bellinger in the fourth round after losing Evan Engram in free agency. Bellinger’s biggest obstacles this offseason are a pair of veterans, Ricky Seals-Jones and Jordan Akins. If the Giants are looking for youth at the position, Bellinger is the way to go. The San Diego State product will have some deeper fantasy relevance in 2022 due to volume and talent.
