Miles Sanders was taking carries with the Eagles’ second-team unit in camp today.
Fantasy Impact: Sanders has had a lot of attention this offseason, as his fantasy stock has slowly plummeted. This latest news should not be overreacted to, but it does reinforce the idea that Sanders is a very risky draft pick for fantasy managers in 2022. The fourth-year RB out of Penn St. has gotten more efficient in each of his three previous NFL seasons, but his lack of red zone success (0 TD’s in 2021) and injury concerns (appeared in only 12 games in both 2020 and 2021) have capped his fantasy proficiency. Now on the last year of his rookie deal, Sanders will need major TD regression to be a valuable fantasy asset, but with Jalen Hurts rushing upside in the red zone it feels unlikely he will have too many goaline opportunities in 2022.
