Patriots head coach Bill Belichick emphasized that second-year running back Rhamondre Stevenson has taken massive strides as a weapon in the passing game following his rookie season, according to Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston. “Rhamondre has done a real good job improving his pass-game skills,” explained the veteran coach.
Fantasy Impact: Not only has Stevenson improved as a pass-catcher, but Belichick made it clear that he has made strides as a pass protector, too. The 24-year-old’s strong impression on his head coach should translate to meaningful snaps as soon as Week 1. Stevenson spent part of 2021 in the dog house, but he looked good when he was on the field, racking up 606 rushing yards, 123 receiving yards, and five total touchdowns. The Patriots have the second-easiest schedule for running backs and Stevenson is carving out a clear role for himself. The way things are trending, he has massive value at his current ADP of 95. He currently ranks 34th among running backs in the latest ECR.
