According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, there appears to be no trade interest at the moment for QB Jimmy Garoppolo outside of potential injuries. The most likely outcomes for the team appear to be to cut him or to keep him.
Fantasy Impact: Garoppolo is clearly no longer the starter in San Francisco as the 49ers have moved on to QB Trey Lance. Garoppolo has been a solid QB2 option in fantasy when healthy the last few years, but it’s hard to determine how much of that should be attributed to his talent and how much goes to his roster’s talent and head coach Kyle Shanahan. Garoppolo could likely be a QB2/bye-week option in superflex leagues in 2022, but until his future becomes known as a certainty, it’s hard to justify rostering him on your team with confidence.
