Ezekiel Elliott carried the ball 10 times and tallied 52 rushing yards in Sunday’s season-opening 19-3 loss to the Buccaneers. Elliott also caught a pass for a loss of three yards.
Fantasy Impact: Elliott ran the ball well on Sunday, averaging 5.2 yards per carry against a solid run defense. However, the game script was not in the Cowboys’ favor and the offense just looked disjointed at times. With Dak Prescott now out for several weeks with a thumb injury, Dallas may be inclined to lean on the legs of Elliott and Tony Pollard for the next few games. For now, however, Elliott will remain an RB2 in fantasy.
