T.J. Watt is still gathering opinions on his torn pectoral muscle but it is not believed to require surgery or be season-ending according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Fantasy Impact: This is obviously better news than expected for Watt and the Steelers’ defense. Watt’s return timetable is still unknown and will depend on how quickly he heals but he could be back before Halloween if all goes well. Fantasy managers with the Steelers’ DST have matchups against the Patriots (banged up Max Jones), Brown, and Jets coming up, and should still be rolling out Pittsburgh as a starting unit regardless of Watt’s status.
