Alexander Mattison rushed seven times for 28 yards and a touchdown and caught one pass for 16 yards during Minnesota’s 28-24 win over Detroit in Week 3.
Fantasy Impact: Mattison took over running back duties after Dalvin Cook left the game late in the third quarter with a shoulder injury. He made the most of the opportunity, scoring the fourth-quarter TD that put the Vikings down 24-21. It isn’t easy to project what Mattison’s outlook for Week 4 will be, given it is entirely tied to Cook’s status. If Cook is unable to go, then Mattison is a solid RB2 option against the Saints’ 23rd-ranked rush defense.
