Jamaal Williams carried the ball 15 times for 56 rushing yards in the Lions’ 29-0 Week 5 shutout loss to the Patriots.
Fantasy Impact: Williams had a difficult time finding ample running room against the Patriots Sunday, averaging just 3.7 yards per carry in the contest. The negative game script did not help matters, as the Lions played from behind all game. The veteran running back’s value may return to more of a handcuff role if D’Andre Swift is able to return after the Lions’ Week 6 bye. A Week 7 matchup against a stout Cowboys defense does no favors for invested fantasy owners if Swift is unable to return for the Lions.
