David Johnson signed to Saints’ practice squad

Former Cardinals and Texans running back David Johnson was signed to the Saints’ practice squad on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact: Johnson last made an appearance for the Texans in 2021 and will now offer some depth for a Saints’ team with no viable backup behind Alvin Kamara. However, 30-year-old Johnson looked completely washed the last time he stepped onto a football field. New Orleans would have to be in a dire situation to need Johnson in a meaningful game for them during this campaign. Unfortunately for the Saints, at least to this point, almost none of their games have, in fact, been meaningful.
