Jameis Winston has been offered a restructured contract by the Saints to stay in New Orleans. He has until the start of the league year to decide or he will be released.
Fantasy Impact: The terms of the restructured deal will be interesting if Winston were to accept. Right now he would carry an $11.2 million dead cap hit in 2023 if he is outright released. With Winston relegated to the backup role, he most likely will test the waters in free agency.
