According to Lindsey Thiry of ESPN, third-year CB Asante Samuel Jr. has had a strong start to training camp, including a play where he picked off a Justin Herbert pass to Keenan Allen.
Fantasy Impact: Samuel emerged immediately in the league, totaling four interceptions and 22 passes defended between his first two seasons. However, he burst on the scene last postseason with a hat trick of interceptions against Jacksonville. Samuel, the son of a four-time Pro Bowl CB, will continue to be an important part of the Chargers defense as they look for a CB to line up opposite of him.
