David Montgomery is reportedly expected to be a “co-starter” with Jahmyr Gibbs in the Lions backfield this season.

Fantasy Impact: The Lions signed Montgomery to a three-year deal and invested the No. 12 overall pick on Gibbs, so it should be expected that they will both be involved. It has the potential to be comparable to be the Saints backfield during Alvin Kamara’s rookie season when he (Gibbs) and Mark Ingram (Montgomery) were both dominant in their own roles in the same backfield.
