Jaylen Waddle, who suffered a midsection injury this week, is not believed to be in danger of missing serious time, according to Dolphins’ HC Mike McDaniel.
Fantasy Impact: Waddle’s injury scare seems to be nothing to be concerned about, but it will still be worth monitoring the third-year wideout’s status moving forward. Waddle has not missed a game in his young career due to injury (missed a game due to Covid in 2021) and there is no reason to think he won’t suit up for the Phins’ Week 1 game against the Chargers. Waddle is one of the game’s best WR2 and despite catching 30 fewer passes in his sophomore season than his rookie campaign, his league-leading 18.1 yards-per-reception make him one of the league’s best boom candidates week in and week out. Waddle should be a high-end WR2 in 2023, with weekly WR1 upside.
