C.J. Stroud to start Texans’ preseason finale

According to Texans’ HC DeMeco Ryans, second overall pick C.J. Stroud will start for the Texans in their final preseason game.

Fantasy Impact: Stroud has started each of the Texan’s first two preseason games, and with the rookie QB slated to start a third, there is little doubt he will be the Week 1 starter. Stroud faces an uphill battle to be a high-end fantasy QB in year 1, but a favorable schedule of opposing defenses grants some upside. Stroud is best suited as a solid dynasty asset but also has some upside in Superflex formats.
