Thomas Morstead released by the Jets

The New York Jets have released punter Thomas Morstead.

Fantasy Impact: The move is just procedural as he is expected to be back with the team. By releasing Morstead, the Jets will be able to move others to short-term injured reserve and resign Morstead prior to Week 1.
