Desmond Ridder efficient but underwhelming in season opener

Desmond Ridder completed 15 of 18 passes for 115 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons’ 24-10 win against the Panthers. His contribution on the ground was one carry for negative one-yards on the game-ending kneel-down.

Fantasy Impact: Ridder was accurate with his throws, but his upside was capped with Atlanta only passing 18 times in a game that was competitive for the majority of the time. It’s frustrating for Ridder owners in superflex leagues, but for single QB leagues, he’s best left on the waiver wire, even when looking for a streamer.
