Cameron Heyward (groin) placed on Reserve/Injured List Thursday

According to Adam Schefter, Steelers’ pro-bowl DE Cameron Heyward has been placed on the Reserve/Injured List after undergoing surgery to repair a groin injury.

Fantasy Impact: Heyward suffered the injury during the Steelers’ Week 1 blowout loss to the 49ers. Now, the team will have to look to bounce back without one of their most consistent defensive contributors. With the Steelers slated for a Week 6 bye, the Heyward will miss Weeks 2-5 and have the bye week to recover. However, given the severe nature of the injury, Heyward could miss time beyond that.
