KJ Hamler signs with Colts’ practice squad

Free agent WR KJ Hamler, who took time away from football to deal with a pericarditis diagnosis, has signed with the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad.

Fantasy Impact: Hamler, who was dealing with a heart issue, was waived by the Denver Broncos with initial reports saying they intended to re-sign him after he was ready to return. Either they had a change of mind, or Hamler did, but now he is in Indy. The Colts could use some more WR depth, and Hamler could be a potential 53-man-roster add later this season.
