Taylor Heinicke passes for 268 yards, one score in Sunday’s loss

Taylor Heinicke completed 21 of 38 passes for 268 yards with one touchdown and one interception in Sunday’s 31-28 loss to the Vikings.

Fantasy Impact: After replacing former starter Desmond Ridder for the second half of the Falcons’ Week 8 loss, Heinicke made his first start of the season Sunday. It was not a particularly great day for the 30-year-old QB, but the Falcons’ passing game did show more big-play ability overall. Heinicke has completed only 55.9 percent of his passes over the last six quarters at the helm of the Atlanta offense, but his 221.5 yard-per-game pace and 13.4 yards per completion are improvements over Ridder. Heinicke is a fringey fantasy option at QB, but he does lift the potential of the Falcons’ route runners.
