Taylor Heinicke: Falcons starter won’t be named till after bye

Falcons coach Arthur Smith said he won’t name the team’s starting quarterback till after the bye week.

Fantasy Impact: Heinicke left the game on Sunday in the third quarter with a leg injury. Desmond Ridder stepped in and ran for a touchdown while completing 4-of-6 pass attempts. Smith added that both players need improvements in certain areas, but liked where Ridder was at after “a reset.” This will be a situation to monitor early next week.
