Jaguars WR Zay Jones was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge Monday, ESPN’s Michael DiRocco reports. He was booked on a charge of domestic battery causing bodily harm, a first-degree misdemeanor, and has a 9 am ET court appearance scheduled for Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact: Jones has appeared in three games for the Jaguars this season as he has dealt with a knee injury, catching eight of his 18 targets for 78 yards and two touchdowns. Regardless of the outcome of his legal matter, Jones could face discipline from the Jaguars directly or from the NFL via its personal conduct policy. The Jacksonville offense relies primarily on RB Travis Etienne, TE Evan Engram and WRs Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk. Jones is the No. 3 WR when healthy, but no obvious replacement has stepped up in his absence. After the aforementioned four starters, no Jaguars skill position player has even 100 receiving yards on the season.
