Doug Martin Expected to Start
Martin (concussion) is expected to start Week 14 against the Lions, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. Per Stroud, head coach Dirk Koetter “doesn’t believe in players losing their role as the result of an injury.” Read more.
Kelvin Benjamin Not on Injury Report
He got in his second full practice in a row on Friday before being left off the final report. It means he will suit up for the first time since Week 11. Benjamin’s return could not have come in a better matchup, but it is likely Nathan Peterman will be under center. That makes him an upside WR3.
Chester Rogers Expects to Have a Bigger Role
Rogers will play more snaps with Donte Moncrief (ankle) sidelined. He was cutting into Moncrief’s reps before the injury and could remain ahead of him going forward. Rogers has been trending up with 16 targets over his last three games.
Nathan Peterman Looking Like Bills Starter
Peterman took “all the first-team reps” in practice this week while Tyrod Taylor is still dealing with a sore knee which has given him a noticeable limp. If he does in fact start, Peterman will have a golden matchup, but he cannot be trusted in fantasy lineups following his debacle against the Chargers. Read more.
Matthew Stafford Should Have Big Game If Healthy
Stafford (hand) is expected to play on Sunday against the Bucs, where he will be a rock-solid QB1. The Bucs surrender 271 passing yards per game, one of the highest totals in the league. With running back Ameer Abdullah (neck) questionable again, it looks like Stafford is going to go to the air even more than usual in Week 14. Read more.
Amari Cooper Still Hopeful
Cooper (questionable, ankle) is still”hopeful” play in Week 14 against the Chiefs, according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano. Cooper looked good on limited practice reps Friday, giving him a chance to play this week. It sounds like he will come down to a game-time decision.
Chris Hogan Limited at Practice
Hogan (shoulder) was limited in Friday’s practice. Hogan has been limited each day this week. He may be listed as questionable on Saturday’s injury report, but he is expected to play in Miami on Monday night.
Zach Ertz Still In Concussion Protocol
Ertz has practiced on a limited basis the last two days and is trending toward playing this week. He still needs to get fully cleared and will be a must-start against the Rams if active.
Browns Release Kenny Britt
New general manager John Dorsey wasted little time jettisoning the not-fully invested Britt, who was one of the biggest free agent busts of this past offseason. Read more.
