Austin Ekeler leads Chargers’ backfield Sunday

Austin Ekeler rushed for 51 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries during the Chargers’ 24-7 loss to the Broncos in Week 14. He also caught five of seven targets for an additional 49 yards through the air.

Fantasy Impact: Rumors swirled Sunday morning that the Chargers would ride the hot hand at running back. If Ekeler’s lead-back role was in jeopardy, it didn’t show. He handled the majority of the team’s rushing attempts, registered more than five yards per carry, totaled 100 scrimmage yards, and found the end zone. He’ll remain a low-end fantasy RB1 against the Raiders on Thursday night.
