Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley will play in his first regular season game on Thursday against the Philadelphia Eagles. The rookie has impressed during his short time in the league, showing off his speed and agility. The Falcons will mostly look for Ridley on short screen passes and deep balls. He may also return kicks, showing that the Falcons want the ball in his hands. It will be interesting to see how many times quarterback Matt Ryan looks for Ridley during the opener, but we would suspect the rookie will get at least five targets. Ridley should be a solid WR3 option throughout the year and draws a favorable matchup against the Eagles defense. However, he is more of a gamble during the first couple of weeks until his role on the team is more defined.
