Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said he is “still going through it” at quarterback and will “continue to evaluate where we are, dotting the i’s, crossing the t’s and taking it one step at a time.” Quarterback Nathan Peterman was downright horrific in the team’s Week 1 blowout loss to the Ravens, so if the Bills stick with him in Week 2 against the Chargers, McDermott would immediately be on the hot seat. Rookie Josh Allen remains the best bet to make his first NFL start against the Bolts. Peterman threw an astounding five interceptions in the first half against the Chargers in a start last year, so the Bills surely don’t want to go down that path again. Even if defensive end Joey Bosa (foot) is out for the Chargers again this weekend, the LA defense/special teams will be a strong choice in Week 2.
