New England Patriots rookie running back Sony Michel (knee) made a lot of progress this week to the point where he has given himself a chance to be active for his NFL debut in Week 2 against the Jaguars, according to a source. That doesn’t mean that he’ll be active, though, and we’ll have to wait and see. However, with Rex Burkhead (concussion) looking more likely to play, too, Michel might be third on the depth chart. If that’s the case, Michel will be too risky of a flex play after missing last week and most of training camp and the preseason.
