Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim made it clear that the team won’t rush rookie quarterback Josh Rosen onto the field in 2018. Head coach Steve Wilks said that Sam Bradford remains the starter “right now” heading into Week 3 against the Bears. “It’s a tough question,” Keim said. “When the time is right, Josh will have his opportunity.” Keim said that Rosen continues to look good in practice and has shown intellectually that he can handle the job. Keim also said that if he had a choice, he’d prefer that Rosen be given a week of practice as a starter rather than be brought in at halftime or in the middle of a game. The Cardinals are scaling back the offense moving forward as a way to try to spark Bradford and the offense. But if it doesn’t work against a strong Bears defense, it might not be much longer before Rosen takes over. Rosen remains more of a stash in dynasty/keeper leagues for his long-term upside.
