Tennessee Titans TE Anthony Firkser will need to work on improving his blocking ability in the upcoming 2021 season, per Titans’ GM Jon Robinson.
Fantasy Impact: Firkser saw an increased opportunity in the passing game mid-way through last season, absorbing targets from Jonnu Smith while becoming a reliable option for Titans’ QB Ryan Tannehill. GM Jon Robinson elaborated on Firkser’s role, stating, ” He’s gotten better. He’s a dependable pass catcher and sticks his head in there in the run game. He’s a competitive guy and a team guy. I’m proud of his progress. He’s got some work to do (in blocking), but he’s working his tail off to improve.” With Jonnu now in New England, Firkser has a great chance at becoming the TE1 for the Titans in 2021, building on the 39 receptions for 387 yards and a touchdown he totaled in 16 games during the 2020 season.
