Adam Schefter with ESPN is reporting that Aaron Rodgers is disgruntled with Packers organization and does not want to return to the team.
Fantasy Impact: Rodgers’s frustrations with the team have been a story for a few years, and especially after the 2020 draft when an obvious need at wide receiver was ignored for a backup quarterback. However, this is the first time that it is being reported that his annoyances have been brought to the team or that he has mentioned not wanting to return. Rodgers is coming off a fantastic second year with new coach Matt LaFleur. The 37-year-old quarterback set a career-high in passing touchdowns while logging the most yards in a season since 2016. The Packers are 26-6 over the last three years, largely in part to spectacular play from under center. If a team was interested in trading for Rodgers, the Packers would likely require a huge haul. That is, if the phone call is even entertained.
