Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro OLB T.J. Watt has yet to participate in team drills since the Steelers began their training camp nine days ago, per Pro Football Talk.
Fantasy Impact: Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin declined to comment on the status of Watt’s absence, stating, “I don’t have to report injuries this time of year so I won’t” after labeling Watt as day-to-day. Consecutive All-Pro seasons and leading the league in sacks with 15 in 2020 should wind up landing the 26-year old linebacker a lucrative contract extension in Pittsburgh, which could be another factor restricting Watt to end zone sprints alongside Stephon Tuitt. Continue to monitor Watt’s status heading into the Hall of Fame game on August 5th.
