Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Titans believe that new WR Julio Jones’ leg injury is nothing serious, but will continue to manage him during practice and throughout the season.
Fantasy Impact: While it’s good to hear that Jones’ leg injury isn’t anything serious the idea of the former Atlanta WR missing practice and being managed throughout the season does bring back some memories from 2020. Last year, Jones only played in nine games due to injuries and was often times missing from practice leading up to Sundays. At this point the moves being made by the Titans seem primarily precautionary and there is no current worry that Jones will miss any time. Even at 32-years old, when healthy Jones is still one of the best WR’s in the NFL. While A.J. Brown might be the WR 1 for Tennessee, Jones still offers up low end WR 1 upside and can absolutely outperform his current ADP if he stays healthy all year long.
