Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (undisclosed) was reportedly activated off of the team’s Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list on Monday, per ProFootballTalk.
Fantasy Impact: Brate returns to practice for the first time since suffering an undisclosed injury prior to the beginning of Bucs training camp. In 2020, Brate caught 28-of-34 passes for 282 yards and two touchdowns in the regular season, adding a pivotal touchdown reception against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game. The 30-year old tight end enters his eighth season with Tampa Bay and will likely be the TE2 behind Rob Gronkowski but will compete for targets with O.J. Howard, who is returning from an Achilles tendon injury that held him to just four games in 2020. Tom Brady will have one of the deepest tight end rooms in the league, along with returning virtually every skilled player from the 2020 Super Bowl-winning roster. Brate doesn’t hold much value in fantasy but is a decent waiver wire streaming option during Bye weeks.
