Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler will not play in any preseason games, per head coach Brandon Staley.
Fantasy Impact: As is the growing trend seen across a reduced three-game preseason, the new Chargers’ head coach has opted to keep his star running back out of all three games to avoid injury. Ekeler is coming off of an injury-filled 2020 season, so this makes sense anyway. Josh Jackson, Joshua Kelley, and rookie Larry Rountree III will get reps against the Rams on Saturday night at SoFi stadium.
