NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting Giants RB Saquon Barkley (knee) will play with limitations in Week 1.
Fantasy Impact: Per Rapoport, Barkley “will be eased in and used sparingly” in the season opener facing a stout Denver defensive front seven. Rapoport is also stating that Barkley will “get snaps, but the team won’t put him at risk so early” in the season coming off the ACL. If you drafted Barkley in fantasy, you likely got him at a second-round discount. You also selected him fully aware of his presumed but now a reality Week 1 limitation of touches. Follow reports on Barkley throughout the morning in case any more details are revealed about his usage. But this is a situation in which you sit Barkley for a player in a better matchup who will also command greater usage.
