Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) is expected to miss a few weeks.
Fantasy Impact: McCaffrey is scheduled to undergo an MRI, and the Panthers will continue to run tests on his injured hamstring. He logged seven carries for 31 rushing yards and two receptions for nine receiving yards before exiting Thursday’s 24-9 win over the Houston Texans. Run CMC could avoid the short-term injured reserve but is expected to be out at least Week 4’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Chuba Hubbard is next in line and should see an uptick in carries while McCaffrey is sidelined. Hubbard rushed for 52 rushing yards on 11 attempts while hauling in three of five targets for 27 receiving yards in Thursday’s win. The 22-year-old should be a waiver wire priority and can be rostered in all league formats.
