ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting Lions RB Jamaal Williams (hip, illness) is expected to play in Week 6.
Fantasy Impact: Williams should be on the right side of an active designation at the time of kickoff, but his matchup with the Bengals isn’t the greatest one on paper. While they do have their flaws, Cincinnati’s defense, in which the team has heavily invested in via free agency in each of the past two offseasons, is quietly containing their opponents. Still, despite sharing a backfield with D’Andre Swift, Williams is getting enough touches to be inserted in the Flex spot in most fantasy formats. His floor, however, is higher in PPR. Williams will likely need to score to finish with double-digit points if the pass-catching opportunities arent there.
