The Tennessee Titans have signed running back Adrian Peterson to the active roster on Friday.
Fantasy Impact: According to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, this is not a practice squad elevation, and it’s a permanent move to the active roster. With Derrick Henry (foot) and Darrynton Evans (knee) on injured reserve, Peterson and Jeremy McNichols are the Titans’ only two running backs on the active roster. Peterson will most likely be limited or on a snap count in his first game for the Titans in Week 9 versus the Los Angeles Rams. Peterson has a tough matchup against a Rams defense that ranks eighth in rush DVOA. Fantasy managers can plug and play Peterson as a flex in deep-league formats as he’s currently 33rd among all RBs in the latest FantasyPros expert consensus rankings.
