San Francisco 49ers Running Back Elijah Mitchell rushed eight times for 36 yards while adding five catches for 43 yards in a 31-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact: Unfortunately, Mitchell and the ground game were scripted out of this one as San Francisco fell behind 14-0 in the first quarter. He logged a season-low eight carries as a result but was still able to average 4.5 yards/per rush. He hauled in a season-high five targets for 43 yards though, which is a very encouraging sign. He out-targeted and out-caught both JaMycal Hasty and Kyle Juszczyk with that effort and could be used more in the passing game next week as the Niners face the Rams and another potential negative game script. He should be viewed as a lower-end RB2 in that one.
