It’s championship time.
It’s crazy to think this season has gone by so quickly, and that my final waiver wire article for the year has come. The whole season has led up to this week. All the adds, drops, trades, injuries, it’s come down to this. The championship is for those who deserve to be in it, and I bet participants want to put all they got into this week. Do or Die time. Here is the final Waiver Wire of 2021:

Week 17 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets — Likely Available (Under 50% owned)
Isaiah McKenzie, BUF- WR (1%)
Buffalo receivers Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis both landed on the COVID-19 list, and neither are vaccinated meaning they could potentially both miss Week 17 as well. Because of this, Isaiah McKenzie did and will get significantly more reps. McKenzie amassed 12 targets on Sunday, catching 11 of them for 125 yards and a touchdown. If neither Beasley nor Davis suit up, McKenzie is a high upside FLEX, but if either one suits up, his value goes down significantly.
Boston Scott, PHI- RB (15%)
I’m getting some deja vu here. Eagles RB1 Miles Sanders is out with a broken hand, and Jordan Howard is dealing with his own injuries right now, leaving Scott as the only completely healthy running back. Although Howard still has a good chance to be active this week, Scott could have more upside and more touches. Scott would be a solid FLEX play should Howard play, and even an RB2 if Howard does not play.
K.J. Osborn, MIN- WR (34%)
On Sunday, Viking wideout Adam Thielen re-aggravated a sprained ankle, and although he returned later in the game, Osborn still has some value. If Thielen ends up sitting out this week, Osborn has some nice FLEX appeal. Definitely keep an eye on Thielen’s injury report, as Osborn could potentially get you to the top of your league.
Gerald Everett, SEA- TE (42%)
Everett hasn’t been outstanding, but for a tight end, he’s been good enough, and considering he’s healthy, Everett becomes gold. For any championship teams where the injury bug caught your tight end, Everett is definitely a capable streaming option. Averaging over 4 catches per game and being productive with those yards will make him a very solid option against the barely standing, yet fighting, Lions team.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling, GB- WR (40%)
MVS did not play against the Browns in the Christmas showdown this weekend due to COVID-19, but he is slated for a big matchup this week. The Packers will be facing off against the division rival Vikings, who have given up the most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. In MVS’s last performance, he logged 98 yards and a score in a fairly tough receiver matchup in the Ravens. Although his floor may be low, MVS’s ceiling is never-ending in this one.
Dare Ogunbowale, JAC- RB (1%)
Carlos Hyde is on the IR, and James Robinson’s up and down season with Urban Meyer is now over, as he tore his Achilles this past Sunday. The next man up is Dare Ogunbowale, who had 17 rush attempts and 4 targets this week, turning those into 72 total yards and a touchdown. Ogunbowale definitely has a higher upside than Hyde, and it’s not like the Jaguars can depend on their pass game for the final two weeks. Ogunbowale is in for a high-end FLEX game.
Week 17 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets: Worth a Look (Over 50% owned)
Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET- WR (69%)
Finally, Amon-Ra has played extraordinarily, averaging an insane 11.5 targets per game, 85 yards per game, and 3 touchdowns over the last four weeks. In non-PPR leagues, he’s a must start. In PPR leagues, he’s even more of a must start. To those who aren’t starting Amon-Ra, I don’t know what you’re doing. To those who are in leagues with Amon-Ra available and haven’t picked him up yet, I even more don’t know what you’re doing. Amon-Ra has broken out, so take advantage!
Jeff Wilson Jr., SF- RB (70%)
Jeff Wilson found the endzone this week against the Titans as well as logging a few catches. Wilson should still be the lead back if Eli Mitchell remains out against the terrible Texans’ defense. It’s worth monitoring Mitchell’s status for the week, and if he remains out, Wilson is an easy RB2 against Houston.
Although this season may not have been as good as past seasons, writing these was great and I wanted to take a moment to thank you, readers, for reading my first ever articles. Look out for a Waiver Wire season review article coming out in the next few weeks, and see ya next season!
