Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield completed 8-of-12 passes for 76 yards and one interception against the Philadelphia Eagles in his team’s third preseason game on Thursday. He also rushed three times for 10 yards and fumbled once. Mayfield wound up getting some unexpected first-team reps as starter Tyrod Taylor missed two drives with an injured left arm/wrist. Mayfield himself survived an injury scare as he was evaluated for a concussion in the second half, but the rookie quarterback passed the protocol to return to action. Mayfield looked solid in the game, but he will still enter the season as the backup to Tyrod Taylor.
