Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield will make the start in the preseason finale on Thursday against the Detroit Lions. Head coach Hue Jackson confirmed that he will rest his starters in the preseason finale in order to preserve them for the Week 1 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. “It opens up for Baker to play quite a bit for us, yes,” he said. Mayfield might play at least a half, with perhaps Drew Stanton and Brogan Roback getting reps in the second half as the team hashes out its No. 3 QB race. For now, Mayfield doesn’t warrant any fantasy consideration in redraft leagues, as Tyrod Taylor is the starter. But Mayfield is a coveted player in dynasty formats.
