The Buffalo Bills promoted cornerback Ryan Lewis to their 53-man roster. Lewis fills the roster spot held by recently-retired cornerback Vontae Davis, who essentially quit on the team when he did not return to the sideline after halftime on Sunday. Lewis spent last week on the Bills practice squad after being de-activated by the team in Week 1. The second-year pro was on the Patriots practice squad for most of the 2017 campaign. The addition of Lewis to the active roster once again gives the Bills five cornerbacks. However, Tre’Davious White, along with Lafayette Pitts and Lewis, are the only healthy corners. Phillip Gaines is dealing with a dislocated elbow and Taron Johnson is day-to-day with a shoulder injury.
