FanDuel Week 14 Value Picks: Kyle Allen, Devonta Freeman, and John Brown are among this week’s smart FanDuel plays that won’t break the bank.
The FanDuel Dollar Menu provides you with a list of players that provide excellent value for you each week in FanDuel contests. You know, the same way that the dollar menu at your favorite fast-food restaurant provides you with a meal that may not be gourmet but it fills you up without breaking the bank.
FanDuel Dollar Menu – Week 14 Value Picks
QB: Kyle Allen ($7,100 CAR @ ATL)
Kyle Allen is responsible for six touchdowns over the past two weeks and has scored over 23 FanDuel points in each of those contests.
The Panthers now travel to Atlanta where they will face the league’s 26th ranked pass defense. Jameis Winston was able to score 26.32 FanDuel points against the Falcons on only 18 completions two weeks ago. Atlanta allows opposing quarterbacks just under 22 FanDuel points per game which is third-most in the league. Allen should again put up good numbers this week and he is priced well at $7,100.
Additional Value Pick: Ryan Tannehill ($7,300, TEN @ OAK) has averaged 21.62 FanDuel points in the six games that he has started for the Titans in 2019. The Raiders are allowing 21.13 FanDuel points to opposing quarterbacks on the season. This is a matchup that should work out well for Tannehill and those that invest in him.
RB: Devonta Freeman ($6,000, CAR @ ATL)
Devonta Freeman saw 21 touches in Week 13 as he returned from injury but he was bottled up most of the game by the Saints solid run defense. The matchup this week is much more encouraging as the Falcons host the leagues 29th ranked run defense. The Panthers have struggled to stop running backs all season and most recently allowed Derrius Guice and Adrian Peterson to combine for 228 yards and three touchdowns on only 23 carries.
I expect Freeman to get close to twenty touches again this week, which could easily translate to over 100 all-purpose yards and a score.
RB: Derrius Guice ($6,300, WAS @ GB)
Derrius Guice had his coming out party against the Panthers in Week 13 as the talented back averaged 12.9 yards per carry and scored a pair of touchdowns. He now looks to carry that momentum into an appealing week 14 matchup with the Green Bay Packers. The Packers currently allow the second-most rushing touchdowns per game to running backs in addition to over 100 rushing yards per game.
Guice should continue to see his opportunities rise as the Redskins try to gain some momentum for next season with their young core of players.
Additional Value Pick: James White ($6,000, KC @ NE) took full advantage of his opportunities in week 13 as he turned 22 touches into 33.7 FanDuel points. When the Patriots receivers struggle as they did last week, White becomes Brady’s favorite target. This trend could continue this week as they Patriots take on the Chiefs, making White an intriguing option.
WR: Deebo Samuel ($6,300, SF @ NO)
Deebo Samuel has either registered over 100 yards or a touchdown in each of his last four games. He is averaging over 14 FanDuel points during this stretch and he now faces a Saints defense that opposing wide receivers have been able to exploit. The Saints surrender over 31 FanDuel points per game to the wide receiver position.
Pair that with the probability that Samuel will see more of Eli Apple than Marshon Lattimore and the matchup looks even better for Samuel. He is priced great at $6,300 and could produce well in a good matchup.
WR: John Brown ($6,400, BAL @ BUF)
John Brown has continued to be a consistent producer throughout this season. Even when his yardage totals are low, as they have been in the past two weeks, he finds some way to supplement his point total (most recently throwing a touchdown).
Brown is a solid play week in and week out, despite the opponent, as he has not scored less than 7.5 FanDuel points in any game this season. The Bills will likely have to pass in order to score points against the stingy Ravens defense, making Brown a solid play once again this week.
Additional Value Pick: Zach Pascal ($6,100, IND @ TB) caught seven of 10 targets for 109 yards in Week 13 and continues to be the best option at wide receiver for the Colts. He now visits one of the league’s worst pass defenses and the team that allows the most FanDuel points to opposing receivers. Pascal is a bargain this week and is a solid play, even if TY Hilton is able to suit up.
TE: Kyle Rudolph ($4,800, DET @ MIN)
Kyle Rudolph is on a very impressive four-week run where he has caught five touchdowns. He has had five or more targets in each of those games and he has formed a great connection with Kirk Cousins. There are a mind-blowing 25 tight ends priced above Rudolph in the Sunday main slate alone, making Rudolph’s value unparalleled this week.
Additional Value Pick: Anthony Firkser ($5,000 TEN @ OAK) has become the pass-catching tight end to own on the Titans roster. He has caught three of four targets in back to back games, one of which went for a touchdown. The Raiders pass defense hasn’t stopped many players at all recently, and it has been especially susceptible to tight ends. At $5,000, Firkser is definitely worth a look this week.
DEF: 49ers ($3,800 @ NO)
The 49ers have arguably been one of the league’s top two defenses all season and they are bargain priced at $3,800. I understand that the matchup is not ideal but at this price, it doesn’t matter. This is the same defense that held Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to eight points and less than 200 yards of offense. The 49ers are ridiculously placed as the 15th defense in the Sunday main slate of games, making them a steal this week.
Additional Value Pick: Falcons ($3,500 vs CAR) The Falcons are just a few weeks removed from scoring 26 FanDuel points against this same Panthers team on the road. The Falcons racked up five sacks, four interceptions, and a defensive touchdown while only allowing three points. I am not expecting a repeat performance but for $3,500 it is worth a shot to see if they can reproduce the magic from week 11.
