Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (head) completed just six of his 12 pass attempts for 34 yards in his preseason start over the weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals. He was sacked five times, and eventually checked out of the game in the second quarter to be checked for concussion. The rookie checked out and was cleared to return to the game, but the offensive line is going to have to strengthen and protect the franchise quarterback if he is going to last very long into the season. It’s still uncertain who will start in Week 1, as A.J. McCarron (collarbone) is recovering from a collarbone injury and Nathan Peterman is also in the picture. It’s best to avoid the Buffalo QB situation for fantasy purposes in redraft leagues, although Allen is fabulous for dynasty formats.
