Detroit Lions rookie running back Kerryon Johnson (ankle) said “I’m fine” after the Week 5 win over the Packers when he suffered an ankle injury. “If I can walk, run, if I’m standing, I always want to go back in, so that’s what I’m going to do,” Johnson said. The rookie finished with 70 yards on 12 carries before he injured his ankle late in the game. Johnson also added two receptions for 15 yards on two targets. He’s clearly the best back in Detroit, but he continues to share touches with LeGarrette Blount, who vultured two goal-line touchdowns Sunday, and Theo Riddick. The rookie will be able to rest up in the bye week in Week 6. He’ll return in Week 7 as an RB3/flex option with high upside.
