Seattle Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny had a rough pro debut when he carried the ball seven times for just eight yards in Week 1, but offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer told reporters that he has no concerns about Penny’s long-term outlook. He made it clear that Penny will continue to get looks even though Chris Carson is the bellwether back, and he expects that Penny will settle down and get noticeably better in the weeks to come. Penny is unlikely to see too great a number of carries as long as Carson is healthy and producing, but he could still prove useful if he can carve out a niche for himself in the backfield.
