The longer New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski goes without officially committing to play in 2018, the greater chances the Patriots will consider trading him, according to a “Bill Belichick-friendly source.” We’d be surprised if Gronk calls it quits before the 2018 season, but he’s certainly considering hanging them up in the near future after the beating his body continually takes year in and year out. It’s also highly unlikely that New England trades the All-Pro tight end, but it’s something to watch in the offseason. Gronkowski will remain a high-risk, high-reward elite fantasy tight end if he’s playing in 2018.
