The Washington Redskins elected to keep running back Samaje Perine on the 53-man roster, as he edged out Kapri Bibbs. The latter was signed to the practice squad on Sunday. The fourth-round pick from 2017 still has an uphill climb back to fantasy relevance, as veteran Adrian Peterson tops the depth chart, with Rob Kelley expected to serve as his immediate backup. Chris Thompson is expected to work in a traditional third-down role, so Perine will be fighting for crumbs. Fumbles have held Perine back from carving out a larger role, so avoid him outside of the deepest of fantasy leagues unless injuries create a need for him.
